A Farewell To Club Greyhound

December 29, 2016

To our friends at Southern California Coursing Club,

I write this with a full and heavy heart. After three years of coursing, running, eating and playing with you, Club Greyhound must pull up its stakes and move on.

Michael and I have been transferred back to Dallas. With any luck at all, Oracle Farm will be up and running soon, and I will be filling your news feeds with pictures and stories of puppies and greyhounds running in the fields.

The friendships and memories we have made will fill a lifetime.

Thanks to everyone that ran with us, lent us equipment, mourned  Zone and Phil, drove me around until I realized you really can't be an Angeleno without a license or shared a hot dog (and forbidden beverages) with us. Your friendship and love are cherished memories.

Hopefully we will come back for the Turkey Run or the awarding of the Philly each year.

Happy New Year and Tally Ho

Love you all -

Ellen and Michael

I am so bummed out you’re leaving. You are such characters. You’re always up, full of fun and good humor. We had a lot of laughs. It just won’t be the same without you. And Ellen, who’s gonna wear a “Manning” shirt on Sundays? Our loss is Texas’ gain. Well so long and best wishes. It’s been a good roll. Just when I was starting to understand Mike’s Texas drawl.
